  1. SSC Assistant Engineer (SSC AE)
  • What is SSC AE

Every state has a set pattern for this exam. Some may include a mix of general awareness and technical questions. Some formats may consist of a written exam followed by a viva. Other states may have a combination of compulsory and optional papers to be attempted. You must check for the exam syllabus as well as the format so you can prepare adequately. The duration of the written test could last anywhere between 2 and 3 hours. Most objective sections of the test are conducted online. Some technical and subjective sections of the exam may be done offline as well.

SSC Junior Engineer (SSC JE)

  • What is SSC JE

SSC JE is an exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This exam is meant for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts.

  • SSC JE Exam Pattern

The SSC JE exam pattern consists of two papers. Paper-I will be a computer-based test, and Paper-II will be an offline exam. Only those candidates who qualify for Paper I will be allowed to appear for Paper II. The SSC JE Exam pattern for both the paper is given below:

  •  The SSC JE 2019 Paper 1 was easy to moderate and covered all topics from the SSC JE Syllabus.
  • The Reasoning section of Paper 1 was easy and most questions were repeated from previous years. Blood Relations questions were of the puzzled base.
  • General awareness questions were also not very difficult and were moderate. The basic questions that were asked were computer-related. The history questions were considered tricky and also currents affairs questions were asked.
  • The General Engineering paper was easy but lengthy. Most questions were repeated from previous years. The numerical questions in some shifts were more compared to other shifts.
